Spanish course Strasbourg niveau B1

The B1 level Spanish course (intermediate) will allow you to have enough linguistic and non-linguistic resources to get by in different social situations since you will know the necessary vocabulary, the linguistic structures and formulas that will allow you to tackle various daily topics like that of family, work, tastes and interests, travel and current events. In addition, you will develop strategies to explain the important lines of an idea or a problem, express feelings and opinions on an abstract or cultural subject orally or in writing.

At this level, you will understand how to identify the most important differences when with regard to habits, attitudes and values and beliefs of different communities (those of the Hispanic world and those around you). You will be able to express yourself and correct yourself on these topics.

With the Spanish course level B1 (intermediate), it is important to specify that you will be able to deal with authentic texts produced by natives with a standard language level. You will be able to get by with the official documents of everyday life and extract concrete information after reading or listening to these texts. You can use the information from the texts to complete a concrete task. Also, you will be able to argue for a written or televised news.

Little by little you will be able to deal with increasingly long audio (film, documentary, series, etc.) and you will get the theme, the important ideas, etc.

Regarding the intercultural part, as you deepen in Hispanic culture, you will be more and more able to understand their universe and their diversity. To give an opinion based on the current reality of the Hispanic world. To have a vision of the evolution of each culture.

To get there, the main focus is on mixed pedagogical approaches focused on communication. Oral (compression and expression) take a lot of importance here, because we know that the primary goal when learning is to communicate. The proposed activities will confront you each time with a real communicative situation so that in this way you really feel your progress during the training. Written compression also takes an important place. Written expression is also developing in a more autonomous way.

At the end of this B1 level Spanish course (intermediate), you will be able to:

  • Understand the essential points when using clear, standard language and whether these are familiar things at work, at school, at leisure, etc.;

  • Get by in most situations encountered while traveling in an area where the target language is spoken;

  • Produce a simple and coherent speech on familiar topics and in his areas of interest;

  • Tell an event, an experience or a dream, describe a hope or a goal and briefly state reasons or explanations for a project or an idea.

All our courses offer at the end of each period a certificate from the Spanish Language Schools of the University of Salamanca with the number of hours and level worked.
