About this course
Special, affordable Spanish courses for students. Our aim is to help you learn Spanish! The Spanish Language School at the University of Salamanca in Strasbourg is a world reference in Spanish language teaching. The content of each of our Spanish courses is based on the structure of language skills proposed by Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Cervantes Institute.
It is often necessary to learn a new language as part of one’s studies. At ELE USAL Strasbourg, we are aware of the difficulties faced by young students, which is why we want to offer them the opportunity to study Spanish in Strasbourg at an affordable price. With this in mind, this year we are offering a discounted Spanish course for university students. All you need is a student card.
You can either start from scratch with the Spanish for Beginners course, or broaden your knowledge of Spanish with the Intermediate A2 course.
METHODOLOGY
Our Spanish courses in Strasbourg follow a methodology centred on the communicative development of the student and aim to lead you towards intercultural learning, so that you can discover the Hispanic world, its variety, plurality and richness.
The aim is for you to learn to communicate in Spanish in a Hispanic context: living in a Spanish-speaking country, studying at a university in a Spanish-speaking country, working in a company, etc. Learn more about the structures and tools needed to live in a Hispanic context. In general, when learning Spanish, speaking and understanding orally are the two most complicated tasks. We know this and we prepare you accordingly.
To achieve this, groups are formed according to students’ needs and lessons focus on oral and written communication, not forgetting oral and written comprehension. Each session lasts 20 hours and is designed to gradually lead you towards mastery of the level you are aiming for, based on courses focusing on oral and written communication. Each course lasts 10 weeks, 1 hour two days a week.
The courses offered at our centre range from beginner level A1-1 to A2. The complete course lasts 120 hours. At the end of each 20-hour course, the teacher offers students the opportunity to assess their level and see whether they can move on to the next level or improve their current level.
We insist on oral practice of the language: speaking and listening. As a result, classes are given exclusively in Spanish, so this immersion context will help you learn faster! At the end of the course, students will receive an official certificate from the Spanish Language Schools of the University of Salamanca.
This is the normal course that the Institut de Langue Espagnole ELE USAL Strasbourg offers for this type of course:
Students are assessed throughout the course by completing activities at the end of each unit. Students must attend at least 80% of classes in order to obtain a certificate of attendance.
At our school, we work with our own equipment and the following textbooks:
The choice of textbook depends on the profile of the group. One week before the start of the course, the student will be informed which textbook will be used in class. The cost of the textbook is not included in the price of the course (but we do offer the possibility of renting it).
