11 May When is the DELE exam?
The Instituto Cervantes, aware of the health alert situation caused by the spread of the COVID-2019 coronavirus and with the collaboration of the Spanish authorities and the rest of the world, has decided, in order to protect the health of all, to approve following DELE exam dates:
- Extraordinary sessions have been opened to offer the maximum number of places available when the situation is normalized.
- New exams have been added to the regular exams in July (A1), September (A1, B1, B2, C1 and C2 and exams for schoolchildren) and October (C1).
- Examinations for schoolchildren were added in September and October.
- The registration period for new extraordinary calls for July and October begins on April 14.
Given the necessary cancellation of the calls, candidates who had planned to take the DELE exam in April or May 2020 will be assigned to subsequent calls in order to avoid them repeating the registration procedures.
The Instituto Cervantes will communicate to candidates by email and the means at their disposal the new date of their examination. Therefore, the candidate can modify this registration for other 2020 calls for which the registration period is open, if he has registered online, or request the modification at his examination center.
Return requests and deadlines
In the case of canceled calls, the maximum time limit for requesting a refund of 100% of the amount paid is established two months after the scheduled date for placing the canceled call on hold. In the case of calls in which the candidate is registered and finally they took place, the maximum time limit for requesting reimbursement of the amount is fixed at three weeks before the call is held.
This amount will be paid in full, within the extended deadline of 30 calendar days.
Although the returns are processed as soon as possible, the Instituto Cervantes asks the candidates for their maximum understanding in the face of the exceptional situation.
Doubts and consultations of candidates
Les caApplicants can contact their examination center or the Cervantes Institute itself via https://cau.cervantes.es/.
These dates may be subject to modifications derived from the development of exceptional measures that may be adopted by governments.
The Instituto Cervantes continues to strive to mitigate as much as possible the consequences of this situation on candidates, examiners and examination centers, without which the daily work of the DELE activity would not be possible.
