ELE USAL Strasbourg, the official Spanish language school of the University of Salamanca, offers Spanish courses for all levels (A1 to C2) in Strasbourg, both in-person and online. Our method is fully immersive: lessons are delivered 100% in Spanish, based on a communicative approach that emphasizes speaking practice and real-life context. Content follows the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which defines the skills expected at each level. At the end of your course, you will receive an ELE USAL (University of Salamanca) certificate. If desired, you can also take official DELE or SIELE exams for external validation of your level.

Small groups, personalized approach
Our Spanish classes in Strasbourg are delivered in small groups (tailored to your level) to facilitate interaction and progress. Each course includes 30 hours over 15 weeks (2 hours per week), with individual follow-up. Different schedules or workloads can be arranged to suit your needs—just discuss your preferences with your teacher.
Active participation & Personalized support
With a maximum of 8 people per group, each student is actively involved. The teacher adapts explanations and pace to the group’s level. Each session includes an individual check-in (personal feedback, advice) to maximize your progress. Workload or schedule can also be modified (e.g., more intensive training) by agreement with your teacher.
🧭 A structured pathway to mastery
– Complete pathway A1–B2: From A1 to B2, courses total about 270 hours. Each 30-hour module ends with a personalized assessment to validate skills or adjust your learning path. This progressive structure ensures you reach each level before moving on.
– Advanced C1–C2: For those beyond intermediate level, we offer advanced courses. Typically, each higher level (C1 then C2) requires 180–200 additional hours, depending on prior progress and availability. Our program remains flexible: content and materials are adjusted to consolidate your skills up to CEFR’s highest level.
– Continuous assessment: Students complete exercises or projects at the end of each unit. A minimum attendance rate of 80% is required to obtain the end-of-course attendance certificate.
– Final certification: Upon completion, you’ll receive an ELE USAL Strasbourg certificate. Additionally, we prepare you for official exams: DELE (Cervantes Certificates) and SIELE (International Spanish Evaluation Service, supported by Cervantes Institute and the University of Salamanca). These internationally recognized certificates validate your A1–C2 level and are accepted in academic and professional environments.

Personalized Spanish level assessment
ELE USAL Strasbourg offers personalized level assessments to ensure you enroll in the Spanish course that best meets your needs. To determine your starting point, a comprehensive placement test is provided free of charge before enrollment (written part online, followed by an oral interview). The placement test is for guidance only—it is not a certified exam and does not provide an official document. For official language certification, you can separately register for the DELE or SIELE exams via our center.
If you have already studied Spanish, but not with ELE USAL Strasbourg, your level and needs must be assessed—except for complete beginners, returning students from the last academic year, and those who have taken the placement test in the last six months.
The placement test consists of two parts—written and oral:

At the end of these courses, you will have to take the tests to obtain DELE certification, which is compulsory by law in our CPF certification courses.
